Second Casino Trip.

A slightly more reserved showing from the Belmont Posse – Top finishers were Jon and Tim finishing in the money 5th and 10th respectively. The Gloater Took down £80 and Tim £10. Gav was 14th, narrowly missing the final table. Kat, George, Dan and Vin also made the trip, but their luck didn’t hold

BAM! The Gloater & Stormin’ Norman take Bristol by

the scruff of it’s neck and give it a good arse kicking…

Yes, five of the league’s finest at last put their skills to the test on a bigger stage. Tim & James made the top 20 out of 65 at the Gala Casino on Bristol Harbourside - £10 + 1 rebuy in the first hour. Amy narrowly missed out on the final table, finishing 11th, but the class of the field were Gav & Jon, who were heads up at the end, scooping a combined £670… Gav was in his element once the final table was underway, stealing pots left right and centre – they just didn’t know what to make of him! But that ol’ Gloater luck was in full force when down to the last three, doubling up off Gav twice when all in in the dark and behind pre-flop. Heads up lasted just 2 hands – firstly both players hit the same pair on the flop, with the Gloater’s kicker winning through. Gav’s few remaining chips had to go in on the next hand. He turned over 10 3 vs the Gloater’s 5 2, and paired his 10 on the flop. An ace was also out, and Jon called “3 4 for the straight!” Needless to say, the turn was a 4 and the river was a 3…
